Junior Business Analyst

Mondra is a high-growth tech start-up that is delivering a food system environmental insights platform to accelerate the planet’s progress to NetZero carbon emissions.

As a key member, the Junior Business Analyst will be working closely with the Operational and Science teams on their reporting requests ,translating these into actional specifications for our Analytic and Reporting team.

The Junior Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in documenting requirements, offering process solutions, and supporting quality assurance activities.

Responsibilities

· Collaborate with science, product, engineering, and sales teams to gather and analyse requirements, leveraging data to inform decision-making and solution design.

· Work closely with stakeholders to understand business processes, identify opportunities for leveraging data, and propose innovative solutions.

· Act as a liaison between business teams and technical teams to ensure mutual understanding of requirements.

· Support implementation of process and technical solutions, across Mondra’s business teams

· Identify duplicated requests across Mondra’s business teams.

· Define and document detailed user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria based on stakeholder requirements.

· Support quality assurance activities by validating data-related requirements and ensuring alignment with project objectives.

Skills

· Strong natural analytical mindset with keen interest in data structures and data attributes.

· Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Azure Devops, Asana) is highly desirable.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership and initiative in leveraging data for business impact.

· An aptitude for analysis and reporting.

· Outstanding attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work.

· Strong organisational skills, understanding of data quality and integrity.

Technical skills – Nice to Have

· Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of Excel, including lookup formulas, pivot tables, data manipulation.

· Experience with PowerBI and other analytical reporting platforms such as Tableau.

· Knowledge of LCA and Data Research methodologies.
