Entry LCA Analyst

Mondra is a high-growth tech start-up that is delivering a food system environmental insights platform to accelerate the planet’s progress to NetZero carbon emissions.

The role of Entry LCA Analyst is part of the Science and Methodology department within Operations and will work under the management of the Lead LCA Analyst, receiving training and guidance from the Head of Science and Methodology, to achieve Mondra’s objectives.

The Entry LCA Analyst will conduct activities that apply life cycle thinking and approaches to better understand the environmental impacts of products in the food system for specific projects and datasets and learn opportunities related to global food system supply chains and innovations.

You will provided opportunities to conduct collaborative research with leading FMCG companies and industrial groups around the world.

Responsibilities

· Deliver continual improvements in data accuracy and validity used in Mondra Platforms for the purposes of LCA (Life Cycle Assessment).

· Develop detailed industry knowledge in Mondra Food and beverage data category teams.

· Support projects defined within the strategic Science and Methodology roadmap for continual data improvement, aligned with the latest scientific developments.

· Work with a globally distributed food and beverage Category team of LCA Analysts.

· Execute high quality & revision processes within your team for the execution of all Mondra processes relating to data, LCA and category detail.

· Input into the creation of LCA models of a product or service by building out product supply chains in OpenLCA and Mondra platforms.

· Science development activities in the areas of impact assessment and accounting (e.g. GHG, water, biodiversity), including writing reports and publications.

Skills

· Tertiary education or work placement in the field of Environmental Science.

· Exposure to Life Cycle Impact Assessment or foot printing methodologies and potentially associated standards, protocols, or databases.

· The ability to communicate complex scientific information and rationales on environmental sustainability to individuals from other disciplines or non-technical backgrounds and via publications.

· Outstanding attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work.

· Ability to review, analyse and manage large volumes of data.
