Business Analyst
Mondra is a high-growth tech start-up that is delivering a food system environmental insights platform to accelerate the planet’s progress to NetZero carbon emissions.
As a key member, the Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for driving and managing the definition of business requirements in alignment with our feature roadmap, and internal & external client needs, ensuring the quality and precision of our premium software solutions. This role entails direct collaboration with our management team and stakeholders.
The Senior Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in liaising with product, engineering, and science teams to define and document requirements, offering process solutions, and supporting quality assurance activities. Your clearly articulated requirements will serve as the blueprint for our Data Engineers, Data Scientists, React, and .NET developers, effectively bridging the gap between technology, academia, and product objectives.
· Collaborate with product, engineering, and science teams to gather and analyse requirements, leveraging data to inform decision-making and solution design.
· Work closely with stakeholders to understand business processes, identify opportunities for leveraging data, and propose innovative solutions.
· Provide expertise in process and technical solutions, working with the Hypermodelling team to validate complex scientific requirements.
· Use data analysis techniques to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that support validation of strategic business decisions.
· Define and document detailed user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria based on stakeholder requirements.
· Utilise data visualisation tools to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders effectively.
· Support quality assurance activities by validating data-related requirements and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
· Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on data analytics and academic software development projects.
· Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis techniques and tools (e.g., SQL, Python, PowerBI).
· Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Azure Devops) is highly desirable.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership and initiative in leveraging data for business impact.
